Pain in 2022

To say that the topic of pain is challenging to discuss for women is an understatement. I am sure many of you have been in a situation where you faced skepticism over whether you were in any real sort of pain. Unfortunately, there are many stories about women being misdiagnosed.
Most of the time when we think of an analgesic like acetaminophen or some opioid painkiller, we think that five to ten minutes after taking it the pain will subside. The CBD oil drops or CBD gummies that I use everyday do not have this pain killing effect. I take CBD just like I manage my diet, everyday. I would never think about taking a painkiller everyday. You take those when you are in real pain and need immediate relief, right?
CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, a hemp derived cannabinoid. Consuming CBD oil promotes the production of 2-Arachidonoylglycerol, a naturally produced cannabinoid by our body that connects to CB receptors which are a part of our internal endocannabinoid system. CBD is not psychoactive, that is THC and you will not find any THC in Sugar and Kush CBD products. CB receptors are found throughout the body in our spinal cord, joints and in abundance in the stomach and intestine region. In an NCBI study, they referred to the function of our CB receptors as “prosaically termed to be 'relax, eat, sleep, forget and protect.'”
Not to get too technical here, but once 2-Arachidonoylglycerol connects with our CB receptors, it inhibits glutamate release. Glutamate being released by our bodies is what tells our body to start swelling in certain areas which results in inflammation. The swelling pushes against our nerves causing pain. Some of our bodies release too much glutamate resulting in chronic pain that we just do not need. You should consider learning all of the different ways on how to use CBD oil.
It’s tough for us women. There is a famous article in Marie Clarie from 2017 about Starr Mizra, a young girl that complained about being in pain regularly but the doctors could not diagnose her. They eventually chalked it up to it being a psychosomatic issue until she had a heart attack at the age of 23. Can you imagine that? Not only is everyone discrediting you as being a drama queen, you would have to be questioning your own sanity at that point.
There are pain conditions like endometriosis that are completely unique to women. But most medical studies focus on a man’s physiology. Don’t get me wrong, I think that medical science has come a long way from where it was for women. I also think it has a long way to go. According to Harvard Health, of all of the chronic pain symptoms reported, 70% represent women, yet 80% of chronic pain studies are conducted on men.
If you combine that lack of medical knowledge about female physiology in terms of how we are impacted by pain with the fact that CBD hemp oil prohibition was strictly enforced for about 80 years, it’s no wonder women are in this predicament. Listen, I still go see my doctor and listen to them, and for the most part I feel like I get good guidance. They never once though brought up CBD oil to me, because well, they frankly did not know anything about it. It seems to me that our endocannabinoid system plays a very critical role in regulating our bodies. It’s sad to think about all of this time, with all of these medical advancements humanity has made, that we just ignored something so crucial.
The other thing to consider is what type of Sugar & Kush CBD product suits you best. The CBD oil drops you just put under your tongue and let sit there for about ten seconds. Obviously with the CBD gummy bears you just chew and swallow just like you would with a Sugar & Kush CBD cookie.
